My goal is to be a valuable resource for you and your family. I want to educate you on the choices you have available for your estate plan. The planning should be affordable. I charge flat fees for my estate plans so that you receive a complete package of all the necessary documents to prepare you for a secure tomorrow. The flat fees also ensure that we spend as much time together as needed to make you feel comfortable. It is important to me that you feel empowered and have a clear understanding of why you need a proper estate plan. I vow to not use complex legalese. I want you to feel like family when you step through my office door. If you are not able to make it to my office, I will travel to you.
Erin C. Eurenius (Pronounced: Your-Rein-Yus) is delighted to help seniors, individuals with disabilities, and their families. She was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 2015. Her passion for elder law stems from her personal experiences with her grandmother, Helen. Erin’s grandmother helped to raise her while living with the family. Around the age of 84, Helen was diagnosed with dementia and a few short years later suffered from a stroke. Erin watched the repercussions of not planning ahead for these devastating occurrences in life. Erin went to doctor’s visits and hospital calls at 3:00 A.M. and visited the nursing home. She saw the guardianship and Medicaid process firsthand. She understands the stress and anxiety that a family can be dealing with during these situations.
Erin’s family experiences with her grandmother motivated her to attend law school. She obtained her Juris Doctor from Cleveland Marshall College of Law. Erin participated in the dual degree program and also has her Masters of Business Administration. Her previous professional career involved working in public and private accounting at the firms of PriceWaterhouse Coopers and RSM McGladrey. Her focus was on tax. Erin is a Certified Public Accountant having obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration with degrees in international business, finance, and accounting from Cleveland State University. She was part of the inaugural Honors Program at CSU. She grew up in the Cleveland area and attended Padua Franciscan High School. Go, Bruins!
Erin's prior legal experience included a law clerkship at Hickman & Lowder, Co., LPA, and her previous role as Senior Associate Attorney at Butcher Elder Law. She is a proud member of the Cleveland Bridge Builders Class of 2019. She is also a member of the 2021 Class of the FDCC Ladder Down Program. She is also a part-time instructor at Cuyahoga Community College and Polaris Career Center.
She serves on the Endowment Board for Padua Franciscan High School. She is also a member of the Academy of Special Needs Planners, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Ohio State Bar Association. Erin is one of five recipients of the 2021 Cohn Sisters' Scholarship for Patient Advocacy through the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys Foundation.
Erin is also passionate about giving back to seniors in our community. She is the Chair of the Board of Directors for All Faiths Pantry. All Faiths Pantry is a local non-profit that delivers groceries to seniors in our community at no cost to them.
Erin recently was selected to receive a 2019 Northeast Ohio Movers & Shakers Award from The Cleveland Professional 20/30 Club. In 2020 and 2021, she was nominated by her peers as a Rising Star by SuperLawyers for Elder Law.
Erin plans to use her personal experience and legal knowledge to understand your situation and benefit you. Her goal while practicing law is to be a helping hand through the process, easing the tensions and fears that our clients and their families may be experiencing. She works in the areas of estate planning, Medicaid, asset protection, Veterans benefits, special needs planning, and probate and trust administration. Erin is understanding and compassionate.
